2. What data we process

We process the data you give us through the website forms or other contact channels:

  • Identification and contact data: name, email, phone, city and province.
  • Professional or commercial data: customer profile, company and the content of your message.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and date of consent, for security and evidence purposes.

We do not ask for special categories of data. Please do not include sensitive information in the message field.

3. What we use your data for

  • Answering enquiries: replying to the requests you send through the contact form.
  • Managing commercial and distribution requests: assessing your proposal, preparing terms and following up.
  • Sending the catalogue: giving you access to the document you requested and, if you agree, related information.
  • Newsletter: sending you news, recipes and seasonal products if you have subscribed.
  • Security and compliance: preventing abuse, keeping records and meeting legal obligations.

4. Legal basis

The legal basis for processing your data is the consent you give when sending the forms (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), our legitimate interest in answering commercial enquiries and keeping the site secure (Art. 6.1.f GDPR), and compliance with legal obligations where applicable (Art. 6.1.c GDPR).

5. How long we keep data

We keep data for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for and, after that, during the applicable statutory limitation periods. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Security logs are kept for as long as needed to deal with possible liabilities.

6. Recipients

We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for commercial purposes. We may share it with technical providers of hosting, email or maintenance services, who act as data processors and are bound by confidentiality agreements. We may also disclose it where there is a legal obligation.

7. Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability at any time by writing to info@intertropico.com. Please put “Data protection” in the subject line and reasonably prove your identity.

If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

8. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration. No system is completely infallible, but we work to maintain a level of security appropriate to the risk.
